I completed my PhD in Applied Mathematics in December 2007, hosted by Professor Walter Fontana and working with Radhika Nagpal. One of my main projects is the study of how local interactions among large groups of homogeneous agents can produce globally ordered behaviors. I'm also working on a second project devoted to defining and analyzing biologically-relevant ``collective properties" -- that is, emergent properties that arise in heterogeneous structured collectives of parts.
